Monday April 30, 2012, The Fall Of Kings have released our first Official music video!
The video is a compilation of live footage from different gigs, from our first liver performance of TALL ARMY, to festival apperances and footage from practices. We hope the video captures the energy and passion from our live shows and highlights us as a quality live act (because people say we are!) The song is available for free download, along with our other tracks, from our soundcloud profile www.soundcloud.com/thefallofkings
Made and edited ourselves this video for TALL ARMY should be the first in a long line of TFOK films.
Liverpool Unsigned March 2012 player
TFOK tune ‘Chicane’ topping the March 2012 player from Liverpool Unsigned Musicians, check it out some great bands!

The very first LUM player was an amazing success, reaching over 500 plays in just a single week! An artist featured had an hour devoted to him on BBC radio merseyside and another is currently working a very brilliant album! Looking forward to hearing very exciting news from them all - very talented folk!
This months player brings you some of the very best in the Liverpool music scene again and I hear that we’re all going to be proud musicians again when some of the acts on this months player release some very exciting news!
So, one band down – and next up, The Fall of Kings, the only band of the three that I hadn’t heard play before. The opening track lulling the crowd into a false sense of security with a slow rumbling number that paved the way for a punchy set that, amongst other things, highlighted how much a great bass player and drummer can really make an amazing performance. With said bass player occasionally grabbing a stick for floor tom duties, The Fall Of Kings’ set was as enjoyable to watch as to hear – sounding somewhere between Cooper Temple Clause, The Killers and White Rose Movement – no bad thing, with ‘Tall Army’ being a stand-out track for me. My only concern is that violinist Helen was clearly working her socks off but a lot of what she was doing was lost in the mix, perhaps due to an issue with the pick up … All in all though, The Fall Of Kings’ brand of epic-rock has just the right sense of urgency and impending drama to leave you worrying that your existence might be cut short by a rogue asteroid or the sun going nova whilst still being glad you’re spending those final moments listening to this class act!
Review: Liverpool Bands Showcase night (Limehawk/The Fall of Kings/The James Whitehouse Band)
Second live review from ManGoneBlog in as many days… ok then!

The music scene in Liverpool is dead. It has taken a steep nosedive into a deep, watery filled ravine and never came back up for air. What was, once the beaming kindergarten where you would have been proud to cut your teeth as a budding musician and put on your (imaginary) CV. Now it is a wasteland of once great venues and half filled lesser ones. A post apocalyptic mess. Where only the brave and the stupid venture out amid the bustle of the other side of the city, the dreaded ‘’Concert Square’’. A place so hellish you can only walk through in the very height of daytime for fear of being ‘’scalled’’ by the ever growing population of miscreants who divide their time by wearing all black sports garments or plain shirts with various little animals embroidered into them (sorry for stereotyping, sometimes they wear cardigans as well)…
The second outing of the wittily-named “Snub Fest” was always going to be a contentious one.Entirely run by, promoted by and ultimately championed by former Masque promoter Gemma Smith, the three-night festival was either going to sink or swim.Luckily, the acts that performed on its penultimate night were the equivalent of your Michael Phelps and Tom Daley – I blended in to the crowd and enjoyed a bloody good night of music…
So if you’ve been living under a rock with no wireless connection, you may not know that Tumblr is the new cool blogging platform that all the cool kids are using (so we figured we’d better get on it before we get cyber bullied into it anyway).
Re-Blogged this lovely tune from the lovely people at sentricmusic:
Now I don’t know much about the Swiss/German duo “BOY” but we at Sentric are all absolutely in love with this single. Meeto Grevsen’s beautifully sun-drenched video is also helping take our minds off the Biblical gales battering our windows today. Just what the hell is happening out there?
Which of these crazy new genres do you think will be kickin up a storm in 2012??
I want to hear a bit of ‘Speed Ambient’ and ‘Improvised Emo’!
THIS tune is amazing!! We posted about Dire Wolfe in the past, a LIPA band who formed for only a year or so as part of their course and just so happened to be the best band in Liverpool for a long time (in my opinion), but 2 of the members are still together and are now called Kankouran! This song is already been featured on the new series of tv show Skins and they’ve not even played a gig yet!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Re-blogged from Liverpool’s premier music blog, our live version of GOLD!!
“Currently blasting audiences away with their soaring and intense live sound, they are becoming widely regarded as one of the best live bands in the North West. Combining heavy rock with epic indie they are unashamedly aiming for the stars, in more sense than one. Citing influences and interests as Life, Music, Girls, Art and Science they’re enthusiasm for what they do is infectious, they drink as hard as they play and they’ll charm the f**k out of you before blowing you away on stage.” - Lazy Genius Promotions.
This is why i absolutely love music. This group of 55 complete strangers from all over the country came together for one day to form the Cobblers’ Orchestra and played two songs. There were no prior rehearsals and all music was emailed to participants one week before the big day, with only one hour to rehearse together before recording. It still amazes me how music can bring together such a variety of people, no matter what instrument, the genre of music they prefer, when playing these tracks, they were all united. Absolutely amazing!!
“The Fall Of Kings consists of 4 friends. Dan and Nathan met at school, Nathan and Dave met during Uni, and Joe is Dan’s brother. Based near Liverpool, UK, they describe their sound as ‘Epic-Rock’, a mixture of Heavy Rock and Epic Indie.”
The Fall Of Kings (TFOK) are a 4-piece band based near Liverpool, UK, they describe their sound as 'Epic-Rock', a mixture of Heavy Rock and Epic Indie, where stadium sized music fits in a raw and intimate setting.
